Our Staff Offer
Our mission is simple. We want our children, young people and staff to ‘Archive Excellence Together’, underpinned by our MAT values of collaboration, expression, citizenship and inspiration.
It is important to us that we are recognised as a great employer. We want to attract, recruit, retain and develop the best staff for our Trust and ensure that they reflect the diversity of the schools and communities that we serve.
The two documents below outline both our commitment to staff and provide further reasons as to why you should join us.

Annabelle Thornley
Church Drive Primary School
EYFS Lead
‘Joining Oak Trees MAT in September 2019 at Church Drive Primary School was the start of an incredible journey. Now in my sixth year of teaching, I have grown into the role of EYFS Lead and am immensely grateful for the opportunities and support I’ve received along the way. Early in my career, my Head Teacher encouraged me to apply for one of the MAT's Lead Professional Role, a pivotal moment that allowed me to lead teaching and learning both within my school and across the MAT. This experience fuelled my passion for leadership and professional growth. It also inspired me to pursue an MA in Education, focusing my dissertation on Early Years assessment—an area I’m deeply passionate about.
The MAT’s commitment to professional development is remarkable. With support from Stacey, the MAT’s SEND Lead, I’ve had invaluable training and shadowing experiences, deepening my understanding of SEN. These experiences motivated me to embark on my NPQ for SENCOs, a challenge I am excited to undertake. Working for Oak Trees MAT has not only shaped my career but has also cultivated a sense of excitement and ambition for the future. The encouragement and investment in my growth has made me proud to be a teacher within the trust. ‘

Great Meols Primary School
Headteacher
‘In 2021 I joined Oak Trees Multi Academy Trust as Headteacher of Great Meols Primary School. Oak Trees has a vision and values which match my own with a commitment to serve the communities in which the schools reside. The Trust’s commitment to aligned autonomy has meant I can take the best decisions for my school whilst calling upon the expertise and high quality practices from colleagues across the Trust.
Meeting and working with leaders in schools and the Trust Central Team has helped me to further develop my practice and grow as a leader. I have benefitted from high quality CPD and Iam fortunate to be able to have been given the opportunity to shape the Trust’s People Strategy as part of the Executive Leadership Team.’
